The incident occurred on February 3 at 4:45 a.m. As VIENNA.at already reported, the 26-year-old man allegedly inflicted stab wounds on his brother-in-law in the head and neck area as well as on the thighs. The Serbian national then fled. The 32-year-old was seriously injured in the attack and was temporarily in life-threatening condition. An immediate search for the 26-year-old was unsuccessful. The Vienna Criminal Investigation Department took over the investigations, which are continuing at full speed. The motive is still not fully clarified. However, the man is believed to have been under the influence of drugs during the attack. According to police spokeswoman Julia Schick, the suspect is said to have had similar problems in the past, according to the victim.
