Guido Burgstaller, who retired as a professional footballer in June, will start working as a youth coach for SK Rapid from the beginning of next week. The 36-year-old from Carinthia will work in the academy of the Bundesliga leaders as a striker coach for the three youth teams. As Rapid further announced on Thursday, the former goal scorer will continue his role as an individual coach in the staff of U19 national team coach Martin Scherb in parallel.
